Inventar prefácios para obras que não existem. Pedir a personalidades que escrevam prefácios para obras que gostariam de ter escrito. Enriquecer à custa de uma ideia de elevador. Foi com estas três ideias (e mais algumas) que Rui Q. deu o pontapé de saída para o grande sucesso editorial de 2010. O Livro dos Prefácios compila textos geniais com rasgos fulminantes de sensibilidade. Abrangendo vários quadrantes da vida portuguesa, de Queluz à Lapa, podemos aqui ler o raio-x de um país a cores garridas e inventivas. Um país diferente e sem crise(s).
Reunindo alguns amigos que insistentemente o tentaram demover, RQ arrisca tudo mesmo não tendo o jogo na mesa, estando a guardar para si aquele trunfo. Admite que é possível e avança desafiando os limites da já convencional escrita criativa; indo mais além, num sentido sempre provocante e irreverente.
Designer de profisão, RQ é sobretudo um génio que Portugal ainda não conhecia ou não quis conhecer. Costumava mesmo dizer: “Eu só gostava que um dia aparecesse alguém e pegasse em mim…”
Como os caros leitores já devem ter reparado, também eu sou vítima deste síndroma prefaciador, ao escrever este prefácio para o Livro dos Prefácios. Redundante, não?
